Tier 1 Public Notice: Loss of Positive Pressure

A main break in Slippery Rock Municipal Authority's distribution system caused a significant portion of our customers to lose positive water pressure. The break is currently being repaired, and the system will be flushed to restore an adequate disinfectant residual to the affected area. We will also be taking total coliform bacteria samples to ensure the water is safe to consume. After two consecutive days of negative results, we will be able to lift the boil water notice. The customers will be notified once that happens. Customers with addresses on Kiester Road, Harmony Road, Weathervane Drive, Heron Lane, and Vista Drive are affected.
